Darlington Lady Tiger Basketball Camp



Darlington varsity and junior varsity coaches, assisted by high school and college players, drive home fundamental skills—shooting, dribbling, passing, rebounding, defending, and setting and using screens. Campers are given individual attention in station drills stressing critical fundamentals and competitive advantages. Compete daily in shooting and team play. Learn how to work hard and encourage teammates, while enjoying competition—a winning combination that enhances your self-esteem and makes you a successful player.

About the director

Tommy Atha has coached Darlington's middle school and varsity girls' teams to great success. As the middle school coach, he led the Lady Tigers to back to back Floyd County Association Championships in 2010 and 2011. As a varsity assistant, he helped the Lady Tigers to three-straight Rome News-Tribune Holiday Festival Tournament Championships from 2013-2015 as well as four state playoff appearances and the state semifinals in 2014. Most recently, as head varsity coach, he and the Lady Tigers finished 21-6 winning the 6-A Sub-region Championship and making the state playoffs. Coach Atha has also coached youth basketball for over 10 years.
