Housing and Food

Safety and care are top priorities for Darlington Summer Programs. Campers sleep in one of six air-conditioned residence halls with 24-hour adult supervision. Darlington also maintains two local physicians on call for medical attention should it be needed. Floyd Medical Center and Redmond Regional Medical Center are located in Rome, only a short distance from the campus.

Darlington's residence halls have all the modern amenities of a 21st Century home. At Darlington Summer Programs, you won't have to worry about mosquitoes and summer heat keeping you awake at night. When it comes to camp, sleep is as important as eating and having fun. The better you sleep, the healthier you are, and the harder you can play the next day. Washers and dryers are free and detergent can be purchased at the camp store.

Campers will eat in Darlington School's Dodd Dining Hall, a buffet-style cafeteria with a unique menu each day. Salad, sandwich and soup are also available each day. We understand the importance of nutrition and a well-balanced diet. Campers will eat three meals per day (breakfast, lunch and dinner) and ice cream is always in full supply.
