Darlington Cheer Camp



Jump into the fun of cheerleading this summer! Learn tons of new cheers, perform age-appropriate stunts, improve technique, and build your repertoire of moves and formations. Each day of camp has a unique outfit theme. To conclude the week, campers will show off their talents as they put on a pep rally for parents and friends in Darlington’s Johnson Field House.

All Star Tuesday: Represent your favorite sports team

We Love Darlington Wednesday: Purple and White

Throwback Thursday: 80's

Friday: Camp T-shirt with black shorts

Pep Rally on Friday will cap the week's activities.

About the director

Ashley Evans has taught Spanish at Darlington since 2008 and coaches middle school cross country. She also coached cheerleading at the school for six years. In 2001, her high school varsity squad was named region champ and second runner-up at state. The same year, she was also on staff for the Universal Cheerleading Association (UCA). Evans holds bachelor’s degrees in journalism and Spanish and an M.Ed. in Foreign Language Education with Certification in ESL from the University of Georgia. For her work at Darlington, she has been recognized with the Brown Faculty Award. Her husband, Brant serves as dean of student life and history teacher at the Upper School.
