A 35-year-old tradition here in Rome and Floyd County, Camp Delightascope is a half-day summer camp experience designed specifically for the unique needs and interests of young children. Much more than day care, Delightascope combines age-appropriate academics and activities to create a fun, stimulating environment. This unique setting encourages campers to learn through exploration and discovery while feeling successful, relaxed, loved and happy! Space is limited so reserve your spot early.
Activities
Our program provides developmentally appropriate activities in the following areas:
- Arts and Crafts
- Math and Science
- Music
- Games and Activities
- Story Time
- Snack Time
Self-contained classes include:
- Terrific 3s – 3-year-olds explore, discover and experience the theme of the week.
- Two Hands-On – 2-year-olds explore a creative and imaginative sensory approach to complement the weekly themes.
About the director
Paige Rogers has been a teaching assistant at Darlington since 2012. She was director of Delightascope in 2012 after serving as activity director for the four previous years. She holds a B.S. in Early Childhood Education from Shorter College and has worked for Floyd County Schools. She also owns a local children's consignment store and is active in the community.
